Campaign Launch // UA House at Fayette (Under Armour)
Overview: November 16, 2016 - Baltimore celebrated the opening of UA House at Fayette – a community center operated by non-profit partner, Living Classrooms Foundation. Under Armour and Living Classrooms welcomed students, community leaders, and the larger community to commemorate the grand opening.
The students and community members were able to hear inspiring messages from Kevin Plank, Living Classrooms president James Piper Bond, Ravens president Dick Cass, Ray Lewis and various members of the state and city government (including Congressman Elijah Cummings, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Lt. Governor Boyd K. Rutherford, and Senator Ben Cardin).
Local Baltimore broadcast, radio and online media attended to tour the facility, interview key spokespeople and capture the energy and excitement from the students, communities and partners.
The Results: Coverage in all the major Baltimore outlets, including Baltimore Sun, Baltimore Business Journal, Daily Record, WBAL-TV, WJZ-TV and more.
My Role: Drafting and pitching media alert, securing media attendance and coverage, facilitating interviews onsite, media / VIP tour programming, scripting/remarks for UA executives, post-event media outreach.
